ACADEMICS AND EXAMINATIONS
Kai. Bapusaheb Patil Ekambekar College adheres to the academic and examination statutes and ordinances as prescribed by Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. The following outlines the key regulations that govern our academic and examination processes:
Academic Regulations
- Course Structure:
- The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) program is structured over three years, divided into six semesters. Each semester encompasses a mix of core, elective, and skill-based courses.
- Credit System:
- The college follows a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) where each course carries a specific number of credits. Students must accumulate a minimum number of credits to qualify for the degree.
- Attendance Requirements:
- A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for all students in each subject to be eligible to appear for the final examinations. Exceptions may be granted only under exceptional circumstances with proper documentation.
- Internal Assessments:
- Continuous assessment is a critical component of the academic evaluation. Internal assessments include class tests, assignments, presentations, and participation, contributing to the final grade.
Examination Ordinances
- Examination Schedule:

- Eligibility to Appear for Examinations:
- Students must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible to appear for the semester-end examinations:

- Malpractice and Disciplinary Actions:
- Any form of malpractice during examinations is strictly prohibited. Students found guilty of malpractice may face severe penalties, including disqualification from the examination and possible suspension from the college.
Degree Awarding Ordinances
Degree Requirements:
- A student must successfully complete all the prescribed courses, earn the required credits, and pass all examinations to be eligible for the award of the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Academic Progression and Regulations
Promotion to Higher Semesters:
- Promotion to the next semester requires passing a minimum number of subjects as per the University’s guidelines. Students with backlogs are allowed to progress to the next semester but must clear all backlogs within the stipulated time frame.
Miscellaneous Provisions
- Amendments and Revisions:
- The statutes and ordinances are subject to revisions as per the directives of Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University and the Government of Maharashtra. Any amendments will be promptly communicated to the students through official channels.
